An exciting update to the life and talents of Coen.
Hahahaha. Lookie who is walking with a toy!!

I can't seem to upload the video so here is the link:
FOOTBALL!!!!!

College football has at last returned to the treasure valley, and most importantly to the Stenquist household. Not only is it highly anticipated anyway, but this being Coen's first year... we were very excited. We went down early to help setup with Grandpa and Grandma and then headed to breakfast. After a short nap (who can sleep on GAMEDAY?) we headed down via bicycles to the tailgate party. It was a hooooooot day. What can you expect on the first homegame; its always a million degrees even in September.

Also during the game he slept thru the first quarter (reminded me of the bsu basketball games last season when he was wee little and would sleep).

Of course the game lasted until around 10pm and we still had to ride our bikes home. Here is his "no I am not up past my bed time and hysterical with giggles" picture. Hahahaha. First game under our belts, and I am super excited for the rest of the season!!

Today we headed to a play date at a neighborhood park. I had never been, but heard that it had rubber matting for the ground. The parks near me are all wood chips and for the life of me, I can't keep them out of Coen's hands and mouth! So we packed it up and went to this one about 30min away. I have to say (although he did find one stray piece of bark to chew on) it was very clean and awesome for him to crawl on. Not only was it rubber, but it was SOFT! You had some bounce on it!

We just came back from a great Labor Day weekend in the mountains! I will post more later, but I had to show a few pics now.

Coen has begun crawling on his hands and feet, with his butt in the air. I like to think of it as his "mowgli" crawl/monkey crawl. Its pretty cute.

Also he has begun to try and stand up without any help, which not surprisingly he is unable do (no matter how many times he tries, hahaha). So here is the first of many attempts to stand up, resulting in the first of many face plants :/ He had a rough weekend with his face and the ground, poor guy. But that didn't stop him (for a few sobbing minutes anyway) from continuing to try!

Coen @ 9 months

I love this stage! We are having so much fun running after this little guy. He is crawling and sitting up on his own. Not only does he crawl on his knees and hands, but he has started to crawl with his knees up using his feet and hands, while his butt is in the air. Gotta say its pretty cute. He pulls himself up to stand as much as he can.

Stats: 24lbs even, 28 3/4 inches tall (95% weight, 75% height)

Size: Mostly in 18 months (some bigger)

He is sleeping better at night (YAY!) and taking two good naps a day. He eats like a champ, but is still unsure about these purees. He loves to feed himself, so we have been experimenting with table foods and snacks (which he LOVES). Mostly he is just a boy, determined to get dirty and in trouble....I love it.

If we are outside, he is happiest. We go on bike rides, walks, hikes in the backpack, play at the park, watch cars go by... he is a big fan! I just love his little face when it lights up at new things to see.

Oh and he makes the funniest face. We call it his smooshy face :) Did I mention he has EIGHT TEETH too? Hahahaha.

My little water baby at Eagle Island State Park. Can't wait to come back with Jackson...he would be in lake/park/fetching heaven.

Is it just me, or is this kid a charmer ;) Ladies WATCH OUT! hehe
