Coen @ 1 year

It's true! He is ONE! He turned 1 four days ago and I still haven't done a post. Hahahaha. Perhaps I am still in shock :)

He started taking his first steps a few weeks ago, and has taken to it like he has been doing it for twice as long. Just today he has been standing himself up (without crawling to something to pull himself up). Its really amazing how quickly these kiddos pick up skills. The only thing we haven't had yet...words! Hahahaha. He talks ALL-THE-TIME, but never consistent with the same ones meaning the same things. Happy happy happy apppy appy yappy yappy appy... puppy puppy puppy, yuppy, yuppy, uppy uppy uppy... yep, yep, ep, ep, bep, bep...you get the idea. I hear this all day long. Little ramblings as he carries his toys around and depositing them all around our house (fun!). The only word he uses to mean something specific is daddy...go figure :)

His appetite has officially turned on. He loves fruits, vegetables, chicken, breads/pastas, beans...seriously you name it. And the best part...its all table food! He will suck on those puree packets from Earths Best, but he wont eat them if spoon fed. He wants the real stuff! Of course he does best when being fed with a spoon/fork. Most finger foods get squished, drooled on and eventually fed to the dog. We have begun the great wean and he is doing awesome! He loves whole milk and drinks about 8-10oz a day.

Stats~ Weight: 26.5lbs (90%), Height: 31 inches (85%), Size: mostly 24mo some 2T

Coen and his buddy Jackson are having more fun together. They wrestle over snacks, balls, stuffed animals...and of course Brodie's lap :)

We are so very grateful for this amazing little boy. He is such a character. He is loving and snugly, but also independent and LOUD! Lol. He has a big personality and is always smiling, laughing and hamming it up for people.
